Flyp is built to work the way your business needs it to. Whether you have a specific IT challenge to solve or you’re looking for a trusted partner to manage your technology month after month, Flyp offers two core engagement models — project-based consulting and ongoing managed services — and the flexibility to combine them as your needs evolve.

Project-Based

Fixed scope, defined deliverables, and a clear finish line. Ideal for discrete initiatives like cloud migrations, security assessments, or technology roadmaps.

Ongoing Managed Support

A monthly retainer that keeps your systems monitored, your users supported, and your IT running smoothly — without the overhead of an in-house team.

Project-Based Engagements

A project-based engagement is the right choice when you have a well-defined goal and need expert execution to get there. Flyp works with you to establish a clear scope of work before any project begins, so you always know what’s being delivered, by when, and at what cost.

What It Includes

Every project engagement starts with a scoping conversation to align on objectives, constraints, and success criteria. From there, Flyp delivers against that scope with regular check-ins and a final deliverable — whether that’s a written roadmap, a fully migrated cloud environment, or a security findings report with remediation guidance.

When to Choose It

Project-based engagements are a strong fit when you:
  • Have a specific initiative with a defined start and end point
  • Need outside expertise for a decision your team is about to make
  • Want an objective third-party review of your current environment
  • Are not yet ready for — or don’t need — ongoing managed support

Typical Project Types

  • Technology Roadmap Development — A structured plan that maps your current IT state to where your business needs to be in 12–36 months.
  • Cloud Migration — Planning and execution of workload migrations to AWS, Azure, or Microsoft 365.
  • Security Assessment — A review of your current security posture, including risk identification and a prioritized remediation plan.
  • Architecture Review — An independent evaluation of your infrastructure design, with recommendations for resilience and cost efficiency.
  • Vendor Selection — Structured guidance to help you evaluate, compare, and select IT vendors or platforms.

How Scope Is Defined and Delivered

Flyp documents the scope of every project in a written statement of work before work begins. This includes deliverables, timeline, any client responsibilities, and what falls outside the engagement. When the project is complete, Flyp walks you through the final deliverable and ensures you leave with everything you need to act on it.

Ongoing Managed Support

Ongoing managed support means Flyp becomes an extension of your team — handling the day-to-day IT work so you can focus on running your business. This model is billed on a recurring monthly basis and scoped to fit your organization’s size and complexity.

What It Includes

  • Helpdesk Support — Your team has a real person to call when something isn’t working.
  • Proactive Monitoring — Flyp monitors your systems around the clock and responds to alerts before they become outages.
  • Patch Management — Operating systems, applications, and security updates are applied on a regular cadence.
  • Vendor Management — Flyp coordinates with your software vendors, ISPs, and hardware suppliers on your behalf.
  • Regular Reporting — You receive visibility into what’s happening across your environment and what Flyp is doing about it.

How It’s Scoped

Managed support agreements are sized by the number of users and devices in your environment. Flyp assesses your environment during onboarding to establish a baseline and confirm the right coverage tier for your needs.

Commitment and Flexibility

Managed support agreements are structured as monthly commitments, giving Flyp the continuity needed to manage your environment effectively. As your business grows or your needs change, coverage can be adjusted — just let your Flyp contact know.

Combining Both

Many Flyp clients begin with a project engagement and then transition into ongoing managed support once they’ve seen how Flyp operates. This is one of the most natural progressions in the relationship — and often the most impactful.

A Common Example

A business engages Flyp for a security assessment. The assessment surfaces several gaps, and Flyp delivers a prioritized remediation plan. Rather than leaving the client to implement those recommendations alone, Flyp transitions into a managed support role — handling remediation, monitoring, and helpdesk going forward. Other examples include:
  • Completing a cloud migration and then engaging Flyp to manage the cloud environment on an ongoing basis.
  • Using a technology roadmap engagement to build confidence in Flyp’s approach, then bringing Flyp on as a long-term managed IT partner.
  • Starting with project-based helpdesk support during a transition period, then converting to full managed coverage.
There’s no pressure to commit to ongoing support before you’re ready. If you start with a project, Flyp will let you know when managed support makes sense — and why.
Not sure which is right for you? Start with a discovery call and Flyp will recommend the right fit.
